The film centers on eight college students who start a book club because they are all passionate about horror literature. After Ángela, one of the group members, is sexually abused by Professor Cruzado, the story takes a dark turn. They all wanted to teach him a lesson, so they pretended to be the homicidal clown to scare him. Sadly, Cruzado accidentally ends up dead when retaliating.
The group members choose to conceal their involvement in the prank because they are plagued with regret and anxiety. All of the friend's dread escalated after they began to get menacing texts from an unknown person claiming to know their secret.

 Now, knowing their dark secret, a mysterious entity donning the same killer crown mask started killing the students one by one.

Cruzado is dead, and they are all friends; finding the real murderer is a mystery.
