Plot Line

An Uruguayan aircraft carrying forty passengers and five crew members crashed in the Andean Mountain Range on October 13, 1972. There was comfort for the dead who perished in the collision instantly, but for the survivors—who had no food, no shelter, no prospect of returning, and no assistance during a snowstorm—the journey was nearly impossible. People resort to actions they would never have considered to survive in these circumstances.
