Plot Line

"Laapataa Ladies" is a light comedy-drama film directed by Kiran Rio and produced by Aamir Khan. Indian customs, such as "Ghoonghat" or "palla paratha," in which married women cover their faces in front of other males, have been imposed on women by other women for many years. However, this is only one aspect of the film; it is not the whole story regarding traditional Indian customs.
"Ghoonghat" is the reason the movie begins. Wearing identical outfits, two married couples, Deepak and Phool and Jaya and Pradeep, sat next to one another in the train compartment, going home with their brides after marriage. Owing to outdated beliefs, both brides wore veils. When Deepak arrived at his target station earlier, he held Jaya's hand rather than Phool's, and even that woman didn't identify him because she could only see his shoes, which were the same as his groom's. Upon arriving home, Deepak's family was taken aback to see Jaya with him.

On the flip side, when the naive and charming Phool learned that she and her husband had split up, she didn't give up but waited for him, even surviving despite her lack of literacy. However, what is the fate of the other groom who left with the naive Phool? He spent barely two minutes looking for his bride on the platform, criticizing her for stealing all the jewelry and his phone before leaving the station.
See whether and how the lovebirds manage to get back together in this endearing tale of the naive pair.

I Positive Points

One thing to remember is that this lighthearted comedy with a heartfelt plot will make you laugh and feel good while shedding light on women's rights, respect, and humanity. With their captivating performances, all of the cast—Pratibha Ratna, Ravi Kishan, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Nitanshi Goel—did justice to their parts and effectively evoked strong feelings in the viewers. The small village backdrop of this charming tale has a calming impact on the eyes of the spectator. Even yet, the film makes a strong point about the value of empowerment and education.

I Negative Points

Many people might be able to guess the entire plot from the outset of the film because the plot is so predictable. In the last several years, similar tales have been released. The tempo may seem slow to viewers in between. Since this is the film industry, certain logical flaws are unavoidable without which a movie would be incomplete; for example, the bride is unaware of the names of her own and her husband's villages. Some viewers could feel let down if they were hoping for more drama and excitement.
