Plot Line
In the
real world, a clown's main job is to make kids laugh with their antics and
comical expressions, but in the movie world, clowns are associated with terror
and fear.
The horror movie "It" is based
on the same-titled novel by Stephen King. The narrative revolves around a gang
of kids in Derry, Maine, who become victims of a terrifying force that appears
as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. The creature thrives on the children's deepest
fears, which frequently appear as nightmares. The kids, who go under the label
of "Losers' Club," grapple with growing up and the complexities of
their own lives while facing Pennywise and their anxieties. In the end, they find out that “It” has been stalking Derry
for centuries, coming back every 27 years to feed on its victims' dread. To overcome It,
the Losers' Club must face their anxieties and inadequacies.
All things considered, "It" (2017) receives high
marks for its powerful performances—particularly from the youthful ensemble—and
its deft blending of horror, themes of coming-of-age, and nostalgia for the
1980s.
