This series is based on an actual event that happened as a result of the Union Carbide chemical factory's irresponsibility. This chemical plant in Bhopal spewed MIC, or methyl isocyanate, a deadly gas that may kill humans if inhaled. That night, dead bodies and injured bodies were everywhere—in hospitals and on the streets.
 "The Railway Men" sheds light on the entire catastrophe, highlighting the chemical company's mistakes and their consequences as well as the Indian Railway Men's crucial role in rescuing the Bhopal residents.
