I Plot
Line
The 1999 film "The Green Mile" was helmed by Frank Darabont and
written by Stephen King. The story, which is set in 1935, centers on Paul
Edgecombe, played by Tom Hanks, a prison guard at Cold Mountain Penitentiary
who is in charge of death row, popularly known as the Green Mile, where
prisoners are waiting to be put to death.
The tale centers on Michael Clarke's portrayal of John Coffey, a large
African-American man with supernatural abilities who is implicated in the rape
and murder of two young girls. He has a gentle heart and compassion for
everyone, despite the seriousness of the accusations and his frightening
appearance.
After learning about Coffey's abilities and witnessing his miracles, Paul and
the other guards developed a strong affection for him. They made every effort
to avert his execution and establish his innocence.
Do watch this movie if you want to add positivity to your life.
I Good Points
The two principal actors
give excellent performances that are filled with real passion, grabbing the
audience's attention and telling the story. The movie poses interesting queries
concerning morality, justice, and the definition of good and evil. The film
features excellent cinematography and direction. It also demonstrates how to
maintain optimism in the face of adversity, never judge a book by its cover,
and maintain compassion even when things in our lives seem hopeless.
I
Bad Points
The three-hour duration of
the film may put viewers' patience to the test. With a tale set in the racially
segregated American South of the 1930s, the film has drawn criticism for its
lack of variety in character portrayal, especially concerning its mostly white
cast.
